The Indian In Fashion Exhibit and Gala kicked off the second night of the NMACC opening festivities and be warned that everyone is basically considered this at par with the Met Gala and you will be seeing a lot of folks go all out in their outings.
Zendaya who didn’t attend the opening night walked the pink carpet tonight wearing a blue sari by Rahul Mishra from his Couture collection. Given that she has worn the designer before and her stylist Law attended the designer’s latest presentation, this pick doesn’t come as a surprise. What did comes as a surprise was her choice to wear a sari-inspired look.

How to wear an itsy bitsy blouse with sari and not look tacky. She just doesn’t look tacky and that’s that. It’s not the piece of cloth, it’s how you carry it.
True . But it’s because Zendaya is wearing it . I feel Ananya , Suhana or a Shanaya can carry a bikini blouse equally well . but the hatred against them is hypocrisy at its best . Is it because they are Indians and hence expected to wear more traditional blouses or is it because they are nepp kids ??
Is it a saree or a gown? Zendaya looks amazing and so does Law!
Also loved Deepika, Nita Ambani (atleast someone wore a lovely saree) and Isha Ambani, they looked very elegant and impactful!

I see this as a missed opportunity!! ZENDAYA is in India and is walking!!! This is what they choose for her??? So much so for LAW ROACH in styling?? How different is it from the nepo brigade to wear these sequin uniforms with bralette blouses??? Thankfully the lady can carry off a rag with such panache!
Indian wear is not her normal outfit, so she can change it up n wear to her comfort, style. Most hw stars wears a westernised version of saree, lehengas with halters, bikini like tops. bw actresses wear a saree or lehengas almost everywhere and tiniest of tops look as good or bad as the design itself and how it’s worn. No biases, just comfort that’s visible. If Ananya (for eg) wore this I’d expect better if she couldn’t carry it but it would look great on her too.
Actually this blouse goes well for her, the girl was born to wear a saree! Love it
As someone said it, the comfort with outfit is missing with our younger brigade … they look uncomfortable, often struggle walking, and constantly fidgeting with their outfits.
Zendaya, looks comfortable. That’s about it.

My second BEST DRESSED pick after Gigi Hadid. I am tempted to buy this saree but i wonder if they would alter the blouse. Zendaya never ceases to wow us with her amazing sartorial choices and this was a perfect pick!!
