Yellow Fever

We love this cheery hue, some shades more than others. And while the color works in favor of these lovely ladies, their outfits themselves let them down. Not feeling it on any of ’em.

    • You are so right. This yellow-red combination is very ethnic. The color combination is fairly typical on Saraswati Puja in Bengal (and, to some extent, in Bihar). May be that is the reason I was drawn to it, but it does not resonate with me because of the context she chose to wear it in. It is not the kind of saree I would wear to a wedding reception.

Isn’t it interesting how we respond to colors/styles/patterns/designs only within specific contexts/occasions (white and red for ashtami in Bengali Durga Pujas, red and green for Christmas, etc.)?

  2. I have been following this blog for quite some time now and kind of think that I would know which shades of this color would PnP favor more. So here’s for kicks- my guess is that you would like the shade of Ayesha’s duppata most, followed by Zarine’s sari hue and last would be the color of Shamita’s saree.. Am i right??
