WLIFW: Rohit Bal
Rohit Bal’s latest collection was inspired by ‘Ashta Dhatu’, the eight metals. And as the ‘inspiration’ implies, there were plenty of metallic hues, gold, copper, silver, iron and lead inspired.
The silhouettes were very avant-garde, contemporary and certainly very dramatic! The interesting part of this collection was that Bal brought in some elements from his Spring/Summer Fashion Week Finale Collection ‘Siyahi’ and fused them into this one.
love the drama!
second row… second column sari…looks along the lines of Manish Malhotra saree which bebo wore …chiffon … amalgamated with Velvet border..humm….
But then 3rd row outfits are too loud! but then also loved the overall choas of purple and black
Can I just say this out loud? – SUCKS. Oh and row 3, right one, looks like christan sirianos hersheys espisode dress.
There- feels so good.
love the drama, love Gudda (he is a dear old freind). love the outfit model Tinnu is wearing – it is everything a show will have drama, creativity and of course those show stoppers that all show should have. Remember a trend is a trend, not necessarily copying from another designer….so velvet border is in…with all designers
This is all really great but doesn’t anyone wear salwar kameez or churidaars anymore? How about seeing more sarees at least from these designers!
The coat and the printed lining inside it, and the black dress with the drape next to it looks nice.
The rest looks like a fashion design student trying hard to show creativity, but doesn’t work.
