WLIFW: Bounipun By Zubair Kirmani

Comment image 3

Zubair Kirman’s collection for his label Bouniman was as wearable as it can get. The color palette was more subdued even though he used colors that border on the metallic in nature. Silk with circles, square and lines were used to create sheath, shift dresses and tunics for the woman.

The men’s collection didn’t include as much color as was used for the women. He stayed with white and greys for the men but included graphics patterns into sherwanis and jackets.

  1. The womenswear have 60s feel. The neckline, shoulder blades and bust are tight to create a slight structured look, but left loose below for free flow. The use of colour is very minimal and the graphic textures add some elements to the rather boring silhouettes. It’s suitable for working women in their late 20s and 30s.
