I notice the groom wearing shoes during garland exchange…is this ok in North Indian weddings? In south india it would be a no no….
Nopes, not common. We had removed ours but then we exchanged garlands at the Mandap just before the pheras. Whereas couples who do it on the “stage”/designated background might keep them on I suppose

She went the lehanga route but she changed it up instead of keeping it same old same old bollywood garish lehangas.

The lehnga is beautiful. But i have to say i liked the blouse more on the model. It had a deeper V but because the model was flat chested, it did not look vulgar at all and the striped pattern looked really flattering on her. Sheetal altered it for her size and comfort which is totally understandble but i think the alteration meant a little “loss in design”.
her wedding attire is gorgeous, looks regal yet understated. such a far cry from the usual bolly MM and Sabya OTT bridal lehengas, which all look same old, same old
Also loved the traditional gold jewellery! such a refreshing change from the usual polki/kundan sets preferred by most these days
