Screening Style
For her appearance at a recent movie screening, Vidya changed things up, and then some.
Pairing her Zara separates with an Ezra gilet, Vidya rounded out her with slick straight hair. Her black heels and Outhouse jewelry complemented the look well. Major props for the change in pace; she looked great.
P.S: This doesn’t mean we don’t want to see saris. Not by a mile. It’s just that we are happy to see this as well!

she tried… n its not bad… just too voluminous. i like the change so much.
Good for a change, but the belt is so high up, its giving an impression of stockiness OR i guess she is expecting
For the life of me, i fail to decipher why VB always looks so uncomfortable and ready to bolt. whether its a small gathering of friends, a grand extravaganza or even something as low-key as a movie screening… her body language and facial expressions never portray even an iota of self confidence..
as for this outfit – another baggy, crushed and nothing to write home about. there are millions of women on the road who are short and curvy, but they looks oodles better than her just by virtue of having a cheerful smile and a confident attitude. Yawn!!
Hard-hitting critique, but someone had to call a spade a spade. (Although her ill-at-ease public demeanour doesn’t take away a speck from my admiration for this phenomenal actor.)
Mistress_Of_Zing, You said it all! There is that lack of confidence, the uncomfortable stance, body language and lack of poise at any event in any type of clothes. And yes curvy, short is no excuse for dressing up this bad. Be it sari or “western” clothes. Cant stop laughing on what this disaster of an outfit is.
Completely agree with you both Avani & Mistress_of_Zing!
That gorgeous face and impish smile 🙂 Like the change of pace but a simple white t-shirt might have been more appropriate
I want to like her and she does look like she s trying but this could have been better
Sigh I really really want to like this coz I love VB as an actor but it’s just too much volume and fabric
She didn’t need the gilet. But thank the fashion gods for the change from frumpy sarees.
I feel she could have done away with the grey top as it’s just adding too much volume plus it’s looking messy. Anyway so glad that she finally moved out of her comfort zone to experiment.
I am glad that she moved out of her comfort zone a bit, but honestly this looks awful – too messy and voluminous. It’s a shame that such a talented and beautiful woman cannot find clothes to suit her.
Lol.
