In Raw Mango

Wearing a Raw Mango sari with Amrapali earrings, Vidya attended the Outlook Business Awards on Thursday where she also unveiled the latest edition of the magazine featuring her on the cover.

Ask for a change and you just might get it but doesn’t mean you get what you asked for. While Ms. Balan changed up her blouse style, here to be a lot more lower on the neckline, it didn’t really help her case. Because of the sleeve length, it still looked stuffy. I see the second picture and already like it so much more because I don’t see those long sleeves.

I would love to see her in some cap-sleeve or boat-neck style blouses for starters. Is asking for sleeveless too much?

  2. Lovely saree. I have a similar Venkatagiri handloom saree. As much as I like Ms Balan, her sarees, her talent, I don’t understand why she is averse to trying out different blouses.

  3. Cap sleeves will not suit her. Reason I don’t think I need to mention. We all know! Boat neck will make her neck appear even smaller. V-neck bluose with sleeves ending 2-3 inches above the elbow is what she shoul go for, imo!

  4. Having met her in person, I know she’s much slimmer than seen in these photographs. I can just not understand HOW she ends up looking so top-heavy and uncomfortable in ALL her photos.

  5. Leave her alone! This preoccupation about her blouses is now bordering on bullying. The saree is beautiful, she look lovely and that thing about happy girls being the prettiest.

  6. I think most of her blouses are single use only. Somehow she gets into them, but I can’t imagine them not ripping when she tries to take them off. One size bigger means breathing better !!! Please, Vidya!
