Putting an end to the all the pesky pregnancy rumors, Vidya attended KJo’s bash wearing a navel-baring Manish Malhotra long kurta with palazzo pants.
While it is great to see her in something other than a sari, I find that the kurta makes her look stumpy even though it should’ve made her look statuesque. Agree?

I don’t think she looks stumpy…and kudos to her for not only trying another designer but also wearing something that’s usually not her style!
Having said that, this look is a “not quite” for me, mainly because the other two guests featured here looked so sharp. Vidya comparatively looks uber casual. IMHO a little more attention to her hair…a side braid to show off the embroidery on the collar, some statement earring, better pair of sandals and a pedicure would have helped.
This should work bt it doesn’t. Comes off as tacky. Fault lies with Manish, not vidya. That navel-baring, crop- top thing is a major fail.
She has a lovely smile but why is she wearing that frumpy and tent-like outfit?!

This is an awful look. There isn’t anything that works about it. The hair doesn’t help the look in any form either.
I love the outfit. In theory this should work but it doesn’t. Hate those shoes

I love this look on Vidya. It’s different from her usual style, yet it’s right up her alley. I get that she kept it casual, while all the other guest where decked out in something more glam, but hasn’t that always been Vidya’s style? She’s always been one to keep it understated, whether it be in a sari or anything else?
First Aishwarya bares cleavage and Vidya navel. Wow. A brave new world. Vidya looks lovely. I think the problem lies navel down. A sleek pair of pants and some killer heels would have raised the look sky-high. But then it wouldn’t be our adorable, oh-no-there-she-goes -again Vidya.
