In Sabyasachi

It was a busy night for Ms. Balan attending two back-to-back events! Minus whatever was going on with the hair, she looked great in her organza Sabyasachi sari!

  1. I think you guys a biased towards Vidya Balan, look at her, she does not liik good. I would have appriciated this look once. but she makes almost her appearences in the same look , the difference is just the hair n color of the saari. even the blouse is the same style all the time.
I think with the money and resources she has, she can actually wow us sometimes. I am still waiting for that day

    • I agree, at least she should experiment with different fabrics, and it is time she trims her hair a little bit, the whole hair thing makes her look shorter.

      • I am afraid she would single handedly ruin my love for Sabya .. Oh Vidya.. yes we get it that Sabyasachi is your go-to designer for anything but can’t you guys team up and create a wardrobe for you with different types of traditional outfits instead of wearing the saris or anarkalis over and over again with the same hair and makeup always ???
Phew.. rant over!!! But I love Sabyasachi and she is ruining it for me … And she does not look good .. the hair / make-up have got to change !!

  2. Nice! Having Vidya’s body type (a little more ample than Vidya of course) I have stored my few organza sarees away….this makes me feel like unpacking them!

  3. just coz its Vidya and she chooses to wear boring Sabyasachi sarees which P&P somehow like, its all right and she looks “great” with the hair or even the loose pleating of saree on the left..more than half the ppl i am sure disagree strongly
there are beautiful and exquisite silk, organza sarees out there for heaven’s sake.when did these ordinary looking and adding nothing to the wearer sarees become designer ?? pray tell me

  4. Vidya justs looks same in every look with these saree’s !!:(
Chanderi saree’s r beautiful but are transparent so u cant leave the palu ,secondly they tend to become fluffy after some while when u wear them on your body! Ma mother is in law is a big fan of such saree, but it suits her age. But i personally feel if you are on the healthier side then these shud be avioded!!! They tend to become messy making you look huge as compared to ur size :((

  5. well ur comments looks biased… not only the hair but also how awkward is her makeup.. it is all *melting* and the base is soo not matching with her skin color… she is looking greyish in camera lights with that base and also *chamkofying* all over.

  6. I think we are done with seeing with in the same old..
She could be wearing Sabya over n over again, but atleast
she can try new hair, styling, makeup, silhouette or sth..

  7. I like the outfit but she needs to run a brush through the hair and change it up!!! Same ol, same ol, same designer, same blouse length, same earrings (oh no wait, it’s not jhumkhas this time….)

  8. Just the hair? The saree is nice but the drape is horrendous. I can’t believe for someone who wears a saree all the time, she couldn’t drape it better….

  9. Hi P&P. I hardly ever comment on this site though I check it everyday. I have to say you guys are partial to Vidya and i cannot imagine why.
Just the other day you took the mickey out of Ekta Kapoor for bad draping. Vidya looks like she has rolled out of bed and cant be bothered with dressing properly or fixing her hair and is obliging us by her presence.
    Really bad appearance.

  10. I’m a big fan of sabya’s sarees om vidya and a bigger fan of sabya himself. But I think now i’m bored with Vidya and her looks, it’s same old same old. Just a darker shade of lip color is not doing anything to her. she needs more experimentation.

  11. Minus the fact that she tries to stick with what she thinks works for her, there’s nothing good about this look. I do respect that she stands by wearing sarees; but as I’ve said innumerable times before, she needs to learn how to drape them first. And brush her hair. And find a make-up artist. Please.

  12. Can’t imagine what the grouse with the saree is. Not everyone needs to show skin. Hair could have been better. Sarees suit her. Period. No need to charge it up just to keep audience happy. Rekha and kirron kher don’t!

  13. I am sooooo over this look.. P & P.. can we pl get a break from the same old… apart from her hair, her lipstick is not working, the saree itself is quite awful and not draped well.. very messy
