Pretty In Pink?

Before attending the premiere of “Gandhi, My Father” on day three, Tisca attended the opening night of the 7th Annual Indian Film Festival of LA in a pink sari that she paired with a silver-grey exotic clutch.

Although we aren’t a fan of see-through saris, have to admit she does look good! You like?

  1. I actually think she works the “see through” sari very well; she looks unassumingly sexy without appearing desperate for attention. I wish she had a more “Judith Lieber”esque clutch to complement the sari. The one she is carrying just clashes with her clothes.

  2. she is looking real pretty…the sari is well drap and fitting is good too…in this case ‘see thru’ can be completely overlooked as she looks very nice

  3. yes its see through but she gives it class without playing on that particular aspect unlike some others that make the see-throughness the focal point of their style…

i love this woman…she is beautiful, she’s got the grace and elegance, but she’s under-rated…

  4. love the sari. and the makeup, hair and attitude.

Like that she covers her bellybutton with the clutch. I think that makes the sari look much more refined than most see-throughs.

  5. oh, and i think the saaree is much too delicate for such a clutch. maybe it’s the size, or the faux reptile skin, or the colour.

  8. her draping is perfect for this type of saree and she carries it off with elegance rather than seeking attention (like most others).

even though its see-through, it looks good, wonder if the same saree would look this good or better not see-through??

in general, I too hate see through sarees UNLESS they give off this sort of vintage feel- then I love them 🙂

  12. Um, okay I don’t see the big deal being made about a see-through sari….it looks FINE when worn well and draped properly.

Tisca looks beautiful. absolutely beautiful. she has lost so much weight since TZP. and her hair looks great. the clutch is questionable but it adds a nice contrast with the pink. Did I mention how beautiful she is?

  14. Perfect drape, color of the sari and her attitude gives this look a 100%.

Lovely earrings to go with the Sari. The way she has held the purse covers the navel and that is a good thing. As showing off navel at times makes it look cheaper!!

  15. great styling all the way. well draped sari, proper blouse, understated makeup and jewelry…the brown petticoat even isn’t as jarring as it would be on someone else. the silver clutch also works. can’t believe this is the same woman who had made her debut in the movie industry in the masala love stories era of the 90s…she has matured so well and gracefully!!

  20. She is looking absolutely gorgeous! Even though the saree is c-thru I think she carries it off very well, infact the c-thruness adds just the right amount of sexyness!

  21. Subtle sexy – even the see through saree doesn’t really mar the effect she has tried to pull off, and has, quite successfully. But I am quite drawn to the clutch – I really like the way she has paired the silver grey of the clutch with the dusty rose palette of her saree, both the colors complement each other. Well turned out.

  22. I guess I’m the only one who thinks that the clutch does not go with the outfit, and also it looks as if her petticoat is too dark for her sari, it looks muddy-ish.

  23. The clutch doesn’t exactly go with the saree, BUT that’s a minor complaint, coz her saree and clutch separately are FABULOUS:D and she looks stunning:)

  24. just goes to show that grace and elegance can pull off the see through saree…not to mention good blouse coverage too…if she had one of those mallika sherawat sort of plummeting neckline blouses, it would be a very different story!!

i love the way she carries herself…she reminds me of my mum when she wears a sari 🙂

  25. She makes the sheer sari look classy by wearing the right kind of blouse rather than those skanky bikini blouses that most B-town stars wear. And she has draped it properly and not peek-a-boob style. Love it. Full marks!
