In Anamika Khanna

Tina Tahiliani (sister of designer Tarun Tahiliani) was spotted wearing the same Anamika Khanna kurta seen first on Madhoo (see here ). Two appearances off the runway and both times I have been disappointed. I hated the way Madhoo wore it and although Tina does better by wearing a churidaar, there is just too much beige going on for my taste. Black leggings/churidaars and I probably would have loved it on her.

What say you?

  1. asjdfkldjlk Anamika Khanna…you conflict me so
Your stuff always looks so PRETTY on the runways, but I’ve yet to see one of your pieces translate well in real life

  2. I disagree…she pulled it off quite well…it doesn’t overwhelm her…the black churidaar might just have highlighted her height/make her seem drown in it…the monotone helps to keep the focus on the simple design 🙂

  4. Anamika Khanna is fab, pls. don’t blame her, she does not have control over how and by who the outfits are worn.

It’s not a crime to design clothes with a chic, confident lady who knows what she wants in mind, and that, everybody is not. Thus everybody cannot carry off these clothes. And this does not apply to a particular designers creations it applies to any article of clothing that is crafted well.

It’s not about the bruised and battered argument of designers crafting for ‘models’ alone.

There’s allot more in a good model that take precedence over her body.

  5. I actually think this ensemble is very fashion forward and lovely. Black leggings/churidars would have been very unimaginative and quite frankly dumb!

She could have jazzed it up with accessories and different pair of shoes (with powerful detailing).

  6. at the risk of sounding politically incorrect, how come Tarun Tahiliani’s sister is caught in Anamika Khanna’s designs so often.. looks like a case of fraternising with the enemy…

no offense intended to any1 out there.. just my humble opninion
