In The Ikat Story

Wearing separates by The Ikat Story, Tara helped promote her latest movie recently. Assorted jewelry that included a nose ring rounded out the actor’s boho-inspired look.

I wish Tara added a cropped denim jacket to the look to break up the print. It wouldn’t have taken away from the boho look that she was going for and instead, would’ve elevated the whole outfit. As much of a sucker as I am for ikat, this look was bit of a miss for me.

  1. The boots look odd with that outfit . It needed something strappy and summery imo.
Also I’m soooo bored of these bra tops. Give them a rest ladies

  2. The separates feel incomplete. Agree Priyanka, a jacket was needed here to bring the look together. The beauty of ikat is lost when presented as it is…

  3. How does a gorgeous woman like Tara end up looking like this?! This outfit is atrocious to say the least. A pretty girl like her deserves much more. C’mon stylist you can do better.

  4. Such a beautiful print but a terrible outfit.
The top is a bikini and bottom has fit issues.
nope, not even a jacket can salvage this.
With the same neckline I imagine this as a summer dress and it would be lovely.

  5. Is it just me, or has her face started looking different ? Been feeling so from the last couple of pics of her here.

The fit seems too tight. Not a good look.

  6. This top needed high waisted flared skirt or pants, she would have looked beautiful in it. Neck up she looks stunning. The pants are too snug here.

  7. the bottom is 2 sizes too small! it’s squeezing her tiny waist and because she’s had to wear it higher to button it up, it’s almost riding up the crotch.. you can see the marks on her stomach.. body language looks so uncomfortable though Kudos to on keeping her face calm.

Do these prints always have to be styled with the whole oxidized silver, nose ring and tribal overtures?

    • Yes of course Ikat is a weaving techinique orginially but Ikat print is also a dyeing technique inspired by the weave..
