Tara teamed her Forever 21 tee with matching orange separates from Koovs for a recent round of promotions. Ponytail in place, she rounded out the look with white Steve Madden pumps. At another promotional event, Tara was photographed in skinny jeans and a Madison top, teaming the separates with Forever 21 sandals. And finally, for a round of movie promotions more recently, she picked Topshop to wear. Neon pumps from Steve Madden rounded out the actor’s look this time around.

Now, which look do you like her most in?

  1. Sunny Leone no. 2. Actually quite like the jeans and Madison top – those earrings are lovely too! I’m have a “mini” fatigue, too many newcomers, too many mini minis.

  2. She resembles a certain Miss Leone. Outfit choices aren’t helping either.
Yet to come across someone in this new lot who can really impress..be it acting chops or personal style. No zing! Too much skin!

      • Ma’am ..the aim was to highlight poor clothing choices. Ms. Leone imo isn’t a shining example from whom to emulate dressing style( intentionally or unintentionally). My apologies if it felt judgemental.

  3. Oh my god! Where to start?!
She’s wearing her bra on TOP of her t-shirt?! Ridiculous!
That yellow skirt looks like a child made it.
And call me a prude but that orange skirt is WAY TOO SHORT!

I’m looking forward to SOTY2 releasing so I don’t have to see any of these silly outfits!!

  4. Thank God I am not a teenager growing up in today’s day and age. I would have Taras and Ananyas to take fashion inspiration from and look up to. Feels like they are playing strip poker under pressure. Do not want.

  5. THE JEAN! I’m so thankful to see her legs covered for once. The mico minis and constant leg show was getting toooo wannabe. I agree with the commenter about being a teenager today and having such role models. Sounds very scary!
I ask this again (the last time I did people told PnP that their comment moderation is no good without actually answering my question) – how do you function in such short clothes? Bike/gym shorts underneath? It will still be visible if you attempt to sit/stand. Is that ok? Really, if I can’t ask this question on a fashion blog, where can I?

    • Ohmygod the clothes cover her butt and underwear if that’s what you’re asking. They won’t be visible unless you have laser vision or she decides to do acrobatics. For non celebs who don’t just pose in such clothes, they’re also usually worn in situations also not involving acrobatics. You get out of car or whatever with knees stuck together. Then you go
      1) sit in a restaurant where nobody is hopefully hiding underneath the table trying to peak inside your short skirt OR
      2) go clubbing which is basically standing straight and swaying in pitch darkness interspersed with blinding lights. Nobody crawling on the ground to look up your skirt either.

Nobody can see your underwear while standing up unless they are massive granny panties that Dior was so into a few seasons ago in which case they want you to see their panties. You can wear thongs if you’re very worried.

There really aren’t so many situations wherein girls wear miniskirts and squat or do backflips or whatever for anyone to express such deep concern over their underwear.

The girls are AK-OK. The ones that wear such skirts are happy. They post Insta pics where immediately 15 other girls will comment and tell them they’re goddesses. Trust me, that sort of camaraderie is much much much more role model behaviour.

      • Thank you for your detailed comment. What happens if you drop something on the ground and have to pick it up? I never realized that the next stop from walking/sitting was acrobatics!
“Deep concern over underwear” is hilarious.

        • Bend your knees and pick it up. It’s very easy. Even kids can do it!

Also, since Rani Mukherjee wore such skirts in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai too and so did Poo in Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham and many actresses since, have you just thought of this question or have you been sitting on it since 20 years?

I wonder why you are so agitated and snarky about this. Did I offend you in any way personally by asking this question ?

  6. Why should a sunny leone resemblance be something undesirable? She has adopted an adorable girl child. A very cool thing to do, no? How nice it would be if more people did resemble her in that case. One can review fashion without indulging in some kind of shaming of women and their body of work, yes? Her work before joining films did serve a specific societal need, yes? People review films all the time without disparaging personhoods, why not fashion? Increasingly, I feel there has to be a kinder alternative to HHC. This place has become toxic and does nobody any good except for anonymous people spewing a lot of hate. When I first read about HHC in the news, it was said that the site does not allow personal comments on people which is why it was popular. What changed?

    • Nothing changed. No one says the resemblance is undesirable. I read the same comments. I am sick and tired of righteous and outrage at the drop of a hat’ brigade. It’s like they are all cut from the same cloth – ready to school you just because they have decided that a comment is outside of their world view. Who are these people? Who are they to school anyone?? Increasingly the comment section is filled with these pseudo intellectual’ rants and their idea of Instagram fed feminism. Peace be upon all.

      • It’s lived feminism, not Instagram fed feminism. Btw, what is wrong with Instagram fed feminism since it also comes from a place of lived experience? Since I have been deemed a pseudo intellectual, do educate with your genuine intellect. My comment comes from a place of growing discomfort with the way very young girls are subjected to hate discourse either vis-a-vis their fashion choices or by virtue of who their parents. Both qualify for hate speech. The comments come from a place where you see and live through hate and misogyny both from men and women because you are a woman and the comment spaces of HHC increasingly reflect hate speech because of what anonymity affords people. The comments about resemblance to Sunny are snide. They are sarcastic. If you feel that this is okay as a part of your world view, how do you justify it? As a pseudo intellectual, I have stated why I feel it is not okay, maybe you want to share why it is okay? Ultimately, Madonna, we all, each one of us, is cut from the same cloth. That is the fabric of human life. Like it or not, we are all bound together and the unwarranted unkindness I see here could well echo in the same or different ways for some of us too down the line. That is why perhaps, some commenters protest and present their alternative points of view here as a way of not letting things slide without flagging them. Some day, some may get tired of doing so and quit this space. Until then, kindly bear.

      • True. I am sick and tired of the pseudo liberals and pseudo feminists… sick. This comment section has become very boring. Previously the comments used to be interesting and hilarious. Now most of the commenters have gone, who used to comment.

        • Right, you’d rather take spicy insults, misogyny, personal attacks over well-reasoned, well-articulated, fair comments. Why am I not surprised?

PS. Don’t just go around throwing words you don’t understand. Preachy Pie’s comments are the exact opposite of what you have conveniently chosen to label as “pseudo”- everything. SMH

        • Wow. Interesting and hilarious?? For whom and at whose expense? Maybe in the spirit of fun, you want to offer yourself and your fashion sense up for critique for all of us to have some fun too? It will also become less boring for everyone when you are on the receiving end for a change. Also what is pseudo liberal and pseudo feminism?

          • See you assumed “interesting” as negative. I was talking about interesting positive comments. The comments are not interesting because the posts are not interesting on this blog. KJo screwed up Bollywood and he screwed up this blog also. He is forcing all his protege on this blog. When I first started visiting HHC, I used to find it interesting, now I don’t see it that way. Now I feel HHC is manipulated by Bollywood.

            • Crazy Neon (or whatever avatar name you chose to use this time), we were always a Bollywood Blog. We started with posting about who wore what in Bollywood. We cannot help that there are back to back Karan Johar’s movie that have come out and with them have come these non stop appearances by his cast. Believe us, even we are exhausted!

      • Way to just go ahead and prove Preachy Pie’s point. Why are you all up in arms over someone saying it should be unacceptable to take personal digs at ANOTHER woman who is not even in the picture here on a FASHION blog which started out with a strong regard for this very principle?

PS. I read the same comments too and they seemed like they were thinly veiled insults at Sunny Leone.

    • I beg to differ. They are not kids. They are young women flaunting their bodies for attention. And that isnt an attitude I want my daughter to carry – who at 17 isnt a kid either.
Even at promotional events- atleast be dressed in something other than ‘as revealing as possible’ which seems to be the memo for the film for these girls.

  8. I think she looks really fabulous in the outfit with the jeans. The other two are just too tacky. I think let the girl enjoy these sort of silly outfits while she is still young. She is young enough to play around with her look and to get away with it and also, the outfits are not her choice. It is the production company who chooses them so we can’t blame her. I am sure her personal choice is quite classy compared to this and this is all for a film role.

  9. Contrary to many complaints, I find the comments interesting. In fact, it has become fun and lots of people use the same monikers giving it a community feel. What is the harm in discussing or expressing views? The bit that gets to me sometimes is the snark…there is no need whatsoever to diss on anyone.
