A Separate(s) Story

Pairing her Nisha Sainani skirt with a Zara top, Sonam attended a recent event. Earrings from Prerto, a Dolce & Gabbana bag and River Island for Jabong sandals finished out her look.

In keeping with the character she plays in her upcoming movie, the look had a certain whimsy in its quirky just-thrown-together approach. But the end effect, here on Sonam anyway, was quite jarring. Maybe it’s the earrings, or the sandals, or maybe it’s the usually impeccably dressed to the nines actor, either way, it’s hard to buy in to this look.

In Pankaj and Nidhi

Kannada actor Parul Yadav attended the launch of a car in Bengaluru wearing Pankaj and Nidhi separates with jewellery from Curio Cottage.

I really wish she had not skipped on the shirt. The white shirt was what made the look pop. Without it, this was like any other sleeveless-asymmetric kurta look. Except, Parul still looked good.

Of Promotions

We’ve seen Kareena in two Ashish N Soni looks so far, one today in printed white separates and red Valentino pumps and last week in a skirt by the designer with a ruffled black Zara top and Saint Laurent sandals.

Make-up wise she looked gorgeous. But, her outfits we had issues with and in both cases we blame the blouse. The printed one just fell oddly on her. A more fitted waist and we would’ve loved the look. As for the black one, we didn’t like the ruffle portion. Made the look feel too busy given the center pleat on the skirt.

Of Separates

For Raja Natwarlal promotions today, Humaima went the separates route again in Zara this time wearing a skirt from the high-street brand with a McQ by Alexander McQueen lace top.

Given how the lace top was such a strong element, pairing it with the striped skirt made the look a bit busy. As did the pointed cutout boots.

In Zara

Wearing a yellow Zara dress with a statement Sapphire necklace, Priya attended the press meet of the Tamil movie ‘Irumbu Kuthirai’. The color was a good pick but on closer inspection the fit of the dress seemed quite off, especially at the sleeves.
