I was all about to go “aaargh” at that floral sari on Vidya when I remembered that the promo pic of her next ‘Ishqiya’ had her in something similar also. Safe to say, Ms. Balan has jumped onto her next ‘In Character’ phase and we all better get ready to see many more of such saris in the next few weeks.

Ms. Balan is still in her Sabysachi sari phase and following the designer’s code to a T (read: wearing contrasting colors), but this time I wish she had just stuck to a black blouse instead of the green. That and a much neater hair do and we’d have a great look.

As much as I love the color (am in a green phase), I am not loving this look on Vidya. It feels like Ms. Balan got dressed in a hurry and a sari that that should look elegant falls short because of the way it was worn. You like?

So simple a kurta and yet neither Vidya nor Adhuna managed to wear it well. Of the two, we preferred Adhuna’s all-black/red lips, but those stiff material skinny pants are what made her look not work for us. You like either or neither.

Vidya’s went back to her favorite silhouette (the anarkali one to those very few who don’t know) but this one I loved on her. That is, until I reached the 2nd and 3rd pic and saw the hair! I’d have given it a pass if it the hair had just slipped out but it seemed like that’s how she wanted it. This one was soooo close.
