Rick Roy: A Little Too Inspired
We couldn’t believe our eyes when we saw Nalanda’s design that looked exactly like the one from Marchesa. Now, we see a design by Rick Roy for Kangana Ranaut that looks so similar to a design from Valentino’s Spring 2008 collection!
If I were to be in Kangana’s shoes, maybe I would drop someone who was so inspired by other’s designs. 😉

The Mad Hatter
Natasha Poonawalla at the Mcdowell Indian Derby sported a fascinator! Can’t be at the races without one after all. Got to admire her committing to the look (we’ll just turn a blind eye to the sparkly yellow dress for now)!
Derby or not, could Ms. Poonawala have taken a cue from the Spring 2008 Couture shows where fascinators seemed to have been the norm?

Bow And Clutch
Twinkle Khanna at the recent Stardust Awards was carrying a black bow clutch which reminded me of bow clutches that Valentino designed!
Though first made famous by Valentino, looks like other design houses too have incorporated the ‘bow’ look on their clutches this season! I personally prefer the Louboutin one, its looks far more cleaner and minimal, while still retaining the whimsical, feminine appeal!

A Spring Swirl
A heavy dose of petals, leaves, stems and all kinds of flowers were seen in collections of various designers in their Spring 2008 Ready-To-Wear collections! ‘Floral’ never looked so good before!
Some were seen on very structured outfits, some on not as much, sometimes the colors were a vibrant multi-color explosion of palette and then sometimes there was the dulled monochromatic play but still just as vibrant!
I have never been one for anything floral but how do you say no to Oscar De La Renta or Carolina Herrera? Have you seen those outfits?
Of course, not all that I saw was good (that Valentino outfit!!), but for now, lets only dwell on the fashionably divine.
