In George Stavropoulus

At an event hosted by a fashion publication, Sonam was seen in a vintage draped gown from George Stavropoulus sourced from Shrimpton Couture. The late New York designer is known for his draped chiffon gowns and dresses and am wondering if Sonam picked this one because of its similarity to a sari. When wearing western, Sonam loves to infuse Indian jewellery and here she added a choker necklace and kangans on both wrists. Loved that she went the vintage route but I need more closeups to decide on whether I like this. Jury is still out on this one.

Update: Now that I’ve seen a few more videos, given that she wore those gorgeous ear cuffs, would’ve loved to see her do a sleek updo. I also think the wide choker necklace was overkill. A simple hasli style neckpiece would’ve worked better. Also, Ms. Kapoor is quite tall so am surprised that the gown was still pooling here.

Travel(v)ogue

Sonam was seen travelling out of the city recently wearing an Injiri dress with her cutout trench, Converse sneakers and a Lady Dior embroidered tote. Like this better than her last outing?

In November Noon

Sonam jetted out of the city Friday morning wearing a woolen striped jacket and culottes set from November Noon. Now, the separates themselves had an odd proportion but by pairing the set with the trench and the boots and the hat and the crossbody Hermès mini Lindy, Sonam made an otherwise awkward look work. I didn’t mind it.

Travel(v)ogue

While travelling to Hyderabad and back for the Chivas event, Sonam sported dresses but two very different styles. On the way to the city, she was seen in a Phoebe Philo wool turtleneck maxi dress paired with a Lady Dior tote and mesh Khaite flats. On the way back, she was seen in a printed Erdem dress, loafers and the Lady Dior. Between the two, much preferred her in the Erdem.

In Miss Sohee

Sonam was a celeb guest at a fashion event in Hyderabad hosted by beverage brand and was seen in a green gown from Miss Sohee from the latter’s Spring 2024 collection. The gown was absolutely delish with its emerald color but something about the eye-makeup here felt off. Just me feeling that way?
