For her appearance on the red carpet, Sonam went traditional in Anamika Khanna Couture wearing a white lace sari with a long embroidered jacket that gave it a modern touch.

What made the look stand out though was the pearl nathni (from Sunita K jewellery line) which was the only piece of jewellery that she added to the look. It added a sassy vibe to the look, a move we quite liked.

For a round of interviews on day one of Cannes, Sonam was seen in a simple Huemn black and white sari. Adding drama to the look were the gold Suhani Pittie earrings that just went on my lust list. Lanvin flats finished out the look. Love it!

Sonam, who is in Cannes to walk the red carpet once again, tweeted a few pics of make-up artist Namrata Soni’s instagram feed while getting ready to shoot a video for L’Oreal. Many of you probably instantly recognized the Anamika Khanna cropped top and jacket.

Wearing a Shehlaa sharara, Sonam attended the first promotional event of her upcoming movie Raanjhanaa. The blue of the Sunita Kapoor earrings and Malaga clutch sure made the look much more interesting but in this case, the sharara itself didn’t work. Didn’t like the uneven lining of the top and the gold strips on the sharara bottoms.

Launching a Cannes inspired collection for L’Oréal Paris’ was brand ambassador Sonam in Mumbai. For her appearance, she opted for an Armani Privé with peacock earrings by mom Sunita Kapoor’s Signature line.

Mixing up Indian jewellery with western looks is something we’ve seen Sonam do a lot. But, in this case, I find the look disconnected. The hair and earrings feel like they belong on a sari rather than with this dress. Just me?
