A Separate(s) Story

For her father’s book launch, Sonakshi picked a Vero Moda dress. Wearing the printed dress with an Urvashi Joneja vest, the actor finished out the look with earrings from Viange and black sandals.

Can’t say I was a fan of the look. If it was definition that Ms. Sinha was looking to add, wish she had skipped the vest and instead worn the dress with a belt and rolled up the sleeves. And if the intention behind adding that vest was to give same ol’ midi shirt-dress a youthful twist, should’ve then paired it with a long, unbuttoned vest, whipped the hair back in a ponytail, rolled up the sleeves and worn a pair of oxfords or sneakers instead. As is, it didn’t quite work…The buttoned vest really dates the look.

Sonakshi made an appearance at the Hanami photo exhibition at the Diesel store wearing a Bebe trench dress with yellow heels. Not only did I not like the dress but I also wasn’t a fan of the hairdo and makeup.

We’ve seen her do much better!

In Zara

For her appearance at a recently held Awards night, Sonakshi chose to wear Zara separates. Aside from the Judith Leiber evening bag, jewelry from Nikhil Thampi X Jet Gems and Dune heels finished out the her look.

Slouchy or skinny, I love women in suits. When well tailored and when it works for the woman in question of course! In Ms. Sinha’s case, I can’t help but feel underwhelmed; the suit doesn’t do much for the lovely actor.

In Shivan & Narresh

Sonakshi attended the Zee Cine Awards press meet wearing an off-shoulder Shivan and Narresh dress with Outhouse earrings and an Isharya ring. While she wore the dress well and I loved that hairdo, wish she’d added some color to this look. The look felt too one-toned.

Swapping those black pumps for perhaps red ones would’ve been a nice touch. (As would’ve a better hem job. 😛 )

Of Wedding Festivities

It’s not every day that you someone missing the Filmfare Awards but Ms. Sinha did just that over the weekend choosing to attend her former stylist Sakshi Mehra’s nuptials than walk the red carpet.

While at the sangeet the actor was seen in a Papa Don’t Preach dhoti sari, the wedding ceremony saw her in a black Ridhi Mehra strapless maxi featuring a sheer cape.
