Sari Style

Sonali attended an awards event Sunday evening wearing an Ekaya sari draped the seedha palla way paired with drop earrings and a boxy blouse. To me the black blouse felt a bit jarring and the drape a lil’ sloppy. I feel this would’ve worked better had she added a skinny belt to cinch the pally in with a few pleats or added a hasli necklace to tone down the black.

In Dior

Also serving vintage was Natasha in a sequin gown from Dior from the John Galliano era. What I loved about Natasha is how she keeping every part of her outfit interesting, in this case, the hair and the carrying of two bags. The vintage Chanel paired with a very rare sterling silver Hermès Kelly 15 bag.

She looked great!

Of Gowns

Saba wore a 2004 Gucci (from the Tom Ford era) gown to an awards event on Sunday night. I do love the color but I don’t know if it is the hair, the random flower sandals or the way that belt at the cutout doesn’t quite sit right that is making me not quite sold on the appearance.

Just me feeling that way?

Konkona wore a printed blue sari from Nadiyaa Paar pairing it with a silver y-style necklace and matching earrings. I like the sari and the jewellery but not quite together.

In Urvashi Kaur

Rasika was seen at an awards event in a chevron pattern shirt and skirt from Urvashi Kaur paired with a double grommet belt, jhumkis and a hasli style neckpiece but most of it was covered by the collars. She wore it well.
