Of Brocade Kurtas

Manisha and Mona wore similar colored brocade kurta to an awards event but while the former wore sharara with her kurta, Mona wore straight cropped pants. Manisha looked nice in her but Mona’s pants felt too casual for the kurta giving the overall look a less than luxurious vibe even though the brocade kurta and dupatta were pretty. Having said that, it seems Mona decided to attend last minute and didn’t have much time to plan her outfit.

In Twos

Mona was seen in two pantsuits at the OTT platform’s presentation events and between the two, I was loving the white pantsuit on her. The pink suit’s jacket felt over-designed. Would’ve looked better if the lapels were just plain.

Ditto!

Fatima and Mona were spotted wearing the same black flared Moonray dress recently to their events with the formed adding a belt and pumps and the latter, ankle-strap sandals.

I thought they both wore it well!

In Yam

At promotions for her web series, Mona was seen wearing a printed wrap kurta set from Yam with black sandals.Am a fan of Yam but I don’t quite like the wrap belt detail on this one. But, that’s just me. Mona did look nice here.

In Three

While at a studio anniversary party, Mona was photographed in a matching set/suit by Three. Silver jewelry, strappy sandals and a black chain-strap bag rounded out the actor’s look.

Mona looked nice; the separates worked well for the event in question. That said though, as much as I like the idea of ‘dressing up’ the look with silver jewelry, I wish she had picked a different necklace. A choker or a shorter necklace would’ve been better here given the neckline. Or if Ms. Singh wanted to do the longer necklace, she should’ve left the kurta unbuttoned at the neck. If it were left to me though, I would’ve taken the entirely predictable route of skipping necklaces all together and just adding a stack of bracelets/bangles on one wrist!
