While in Poland, Rani visited the sets of a local channel to talk about Mardaani. Don’t know about you, but we thought this look felt rather disconnected. The white cat-eye glasses and top knot felt very Jetsons but the leather skirt with the medallion felt like it belonged on a Sopranos character.

All in all, we certainly didn’t care for this appearance. You like?

Wearing a dragonfly motif Anavila linen sari, Rani attended an event in Kolkata as part of her upcoming movie’s promotional activity. Wearing her hair in a side-knot, she completed the look with silver jhumkis and a small bindi. Easy and weather appropriate; Rani looked nice.

To promote Mardaani, Rani Mukherjee tied up with a TV program and visited several Army posts. What was interesting though was her choice of bag while visiting these posts.

Do you think she coordinated her bag on purpose? We’d like to think yes, for sure! 😛

In Sabyasachi

In attendance at a recent event as part of her upcoming movie’s promo-tour, Rani picked Sabyasachi to wear. Pairing the Sabya floral kurta with culottes/cropped wide-leg trousers, She finished out the look by wearing her hair down and picking kolhapuri wedges for the feet.

Ms. Mukherjee looked good but we had two minor issues with the look that we just couldn’t ignore. One, the actor is clearly at a loss on how to style her bangs. Two, not a fan of those embellished cuffs on her kurta. With the cropped pants already drawing our eye to the ankle, wish the kurta didn’t have those embellished cuffs further breaking up the body-proportion visual. On someone taller, say Deepika, it would’ve been a non issue. On Rani however, the cuff-detail was just one detail too many.

Wearing black trousers and dove-grey top and jacket, Rani attended a press meet to promote her upcoming movie. With her hair back in a high ponytail, black pumps and a dark, matte lip finished out the look.

Love the lip color; unpredictable but made for a welcome change! Rest of the look however felt uninspired. Wish she picked cropped, tailored cigarette pants instead. And styled her bangs better.
