I had pretty much given up hope at the last event when Kajol wore those hideous thong sandals with churidaars that made her legs look rather stumpy. Thankfully, in New York, she picked a better color and a better outfit to sport and I quite like.

What I love most though are the sandals. Do you blame me though after seeing the ones on the left!?! 😛

P.S. Here’s hoping that she doesn’t falter until after the big premiere. 😉

Waist up, I love it. The sheer balloon sleeved shirt I’d wear in a heart-beat and though not into Leiber minaudieres, love this one… but as for the look in it’s entirety goes, this one was a damp squib. The pants are just not working on Ms. Kapoor and as on-the-trend the brogues may be, it too is something that isn’t quite working on her.

As radiant as Neha looked at the Screen awards, that big a let-down was her next appearance.

We are all for experimenting with personal style but what may have sounded kitschy/fun on paper, just didn’t translate. The fit and length of the pants was off, the shoes didn’t work, the belt a misfit and the the hair and make-up just didn’t do their part. The appearance from Chivas tour had us going ‘what the hey!‘ especially given how she usually gets it right than not.

Sporting pieces from Manish Malhotra’s collection from the Chivas Fashion tour, Urmila and Sameera made an appearance at the show. Even though Ms. Matondkar’s shoes and Chanel bag were just yummy, it was Sameera’s one-shouldered dress that I liked more (even though her footwear was ghastly).

Mehendi green is not the most flattering shade and not everyone can fare well in it. While Ash looks lovely in the hue we wish Kajol had chosen a richer, brighter green. As for the outfit itself, we much prefer the version on Ash. Not that there is much to choose from… 😛
