Lakshmi picked a Sanjay Garg look to wear to Anam and Akbar’s wedding reception on Friday evening. Hair in an updo, her look was finished out with a gold jhumkis and a hasli style necklace.
I may not be a fan of that bust pattern on the kurta but that is more of a design fault than Ms.Manchu’s. She looked pretty nevertheless.

At the audio launch of her movie ‘Lakshmi Bomb’, Lakshmi did gold head to toe in Anamika Khanna and Amrapali. As a die-hard AK fan, it always hurts when you see a look that just doesn’t work.
The necklace was the wrong pick for that neckline but the bigger issue was the outfit itself. It probably looked good in real life but all that gold came off looking too loud in pictures.
Wearing a black hasli necklace or a longer multi-layered kundan one might have offset the outfit and downplayed all that gold.

Lakshmi attended a wedding in Hyderabad on Sunday wearing a Sailesh Singhania sari worn more in a lehenga style. Hair in a bun complete with mogra, her wedding outfit was finished out with a necklace from L. Bajrang and Pershad Co. Jewellers.
As much as I love the color combos and the sari itself, between the visible gold underskirt and the three-inch wide pallu cover, I really wasn’t a fan. The full-sleeve blouse here made the look feel rather stuffy. Glad she didn’t wear the earrings as well like she did in the pics that were taken before heading out.
