In Kotwara

The designer duo behind Kotwara, Meera and Muzaffar Ali showcased clothes from their upcoming movie (Jaanisaar) during Asia Fashion Week held in London. At the event, they also launched the trailer/first look of their film which stars Pernia Qureshi (who walked the runway for them at the show).

Though a runway look is hard to judge, like the Kotwara lehenga on her?

In House Of Kotwara

Wearing an off-white and gold House Of Kotwara lehenga, Sonam attended a recent Awards event. With her hair in a knot, she finished out the look with a bindi, bangle on each wrist, gorgeous chand-balis (earrings) and an embellished metallic box clutch. Think she did good?

In Kotwara

Sonam visited the sets of Dance India Dance to promote Dolly Ki Doli donning a formal look in a Kotwara lehenga with chaand bali earrings from Sunita Kapoor Signature line.

Given how voluminous the lehenga was, it was a good move keeping the hair sleek but I also do wish she had picked simpler earrings too.

In Rohit Bal

When it comes to Indian-wear, Rohit Bal certainly seems to be Ms. Birla’s go-to designer. We thought she looked good and wore her outfit rather well. Yes, it is velvet. And yes, we just said we like. Payal however wishes the velvet kurta was paired with churidaars instead to downplay the velvet. Me? I like it as is. Makes for a change and she sure pulls it off.
