Two promotional events on Friday saw Kalki in two different looks, first in Payal Khandwala separates and then later in a black Nikhil Thampi. Between the two, loved the Khandwala instantly.
The black maxi though was a disaster! Those sleeves seemed like a major after-thought and not a good one at that.

At the screening of her movie ‘Waiting’, leading lady Kalki was seen in Anita Dongre. Hair in a top knot, she finished out her look with a bold red lip, silver earrings and a tiny bindi. I would’ve liked the pants to be just a tad shorter but overall, the look was pretty striking.

Kalki was photographed at a recent event wearing Anavila. An updo, earrings, belt and tan sandals rounded out the look. The linen dress though perfect for summer, was rather drab for an event promoting her movie. With different hair and accessories the look would’ve stood a chance but as is, the sighting left us rather underwhelmed.

At the screening of Waiting in Mumbai, leading lady Kalki was seen in a paisley print Shruti Sancheti jumspsuit with tan Gucci sandals. While she wears the maxi well, can’t say I like the jumpsuit itself. Between the print, the slit sleeves and the back drape, it just felt too busy.

Kalki also picked up a National Awards for Margarita with a Straw and for the event picked a Sabyasachi sari. Hair in an updo, she finished out her look with gold drop earrings and a pale gold clutch.
She looked lovely!
