We’ve seen Mandira before in Masaba’s saris many times before, and so this recent appearance was no surprise. We thought she looked rather charming, just wish she had substituted her bag for a smaller one, if not ditch it altogether for a clutch.

Also in attendance wearing Masaba were Narmada and Jacqueline. Not really fond of Jacqueline’s look and of the two, my pick would have to be Narmada. The latter looked lovely!

We don’t expect everyone to be dressed to the nines when traveling but we don’t want to see slobs either. Bringing the fun were Neha and Sonakshi sporting hats and flats. Giving us the regular meh were Aishwarya and Vidya toting a bag in one arm and wearing denims that looked more like churidaars.

While the Bachchans steered clear of velvet (well almost), Jacqueline went the Bachchan way in a red velvet Dior gown. With a material this iffy, what the gown didn’t need was the odd off-center drape.

The embellishment on Jacqueline’s gown seems like an after-thought, an almost last ditch effort to turn a day dress into something fit for an evening affair. As for Amrita’s, the bodice just looks so shoddy!
