Bag Spotting

It amazes me how Anu can take interesting pieces and make them look completely ordinary. Paired with the boring shirt dress and that belt just made the edgy McQueen leggings so so bland. Lets not ignore the Gucci clutches that were so disco-glam on the runway with the color-blocked outfits and yet against the black, just comes off looking so tacky.

Ms. Dewan is 100/100 in taste but get gets 0/100 for presentation.

P.S. The model’s leggings aren’t the exact ones but they just looked so good with the dress, I had to show ’em.

Moan-O-Gram

As much as we love the color palette on Shaina (not the shirt itself, but the brown with the dark blue), she completely lost us with the monogrammed bag and belt.

Speaking of monograms, Nisha too carried a monogrammed bag at WLIFW… A Fendi monogram, which to us is a lot worse than combining LV and Gucci monograms together. The cropped top only added to her woes. Not a look for us.

Genelia On Marie Claire: (Un)Covered

Aren’t you loving color this season! Where Kareena went the fresh route against a more colorful background on Grazia, Marie Claire took on color-blocking head on with Genelia wearing Gucci against a warm amber/yellow background. We aren’t feeling the make-up much (did we have to color-block that too? :p) but the cover sure grabs your attention! You like?

Gucci Spring 11 sure has been popular. Look at all the magazines it made it too!

In Gucci

At the launch of Gucci’s India Exclusive line, spotted Tanisha Mohan wear head-to-toe Gucci.

She chose to keep her look monochromatic, and while she does look good, we can’t help but wish there was something to break it (the mono-tone) up a bit.

Sure there are a lot of colors out there that work in the scheme of monochrome, but that much of bronze/copper is just a lot to take in! Shoes in a slightly different (if not neutral) tone would’ve helped.

Maybe we aren’t feeling this look much because of all those color-blocked outfits on the Gucci runway which we quite unequivocally loved… Having seen that, this almost feels anti-climatic! 😉

P.S: That’s a clutch from Gucci’s limited edition India Exclusive line on Tanisha.

Sometimes, keeping it simple is all it takes. Love the grey beaded cardigan and the blush-nude pumps. Of the two, which look do you dig more?
