Ms. Sherawat toned the shock-factor way down by wearing a Dolce and Gabbana suit to Los Angeles’ City Hall where she received a special recognition. She paired her suit with a Gucci Hysteria clutch also seen on Suzanne and Karishma.

We wish she had done something different with the hair but from what we see we quite like. (Heck, anything would be an upgrade after her last appearance!)

Kangana Ranaut On Grazia India: (Un)Covered

Grazia India has Kangana in a Fall 2009 Dolce and Gabbana ‘Marilyn Monroe’ dress on their August 2009 issue. And I love it.

I love the whole contrast of it… how the kitschy print plays of the severity of the silhouette. The bee-hive hair, the strong lips and the hemline respectably skimming the knees scream sexy secretary until you notice the Marylin print and the dramatic shrug… and that just gives it the ‘edge’. Not a fan of the shrug but on the cover it works perfectly.

I loved this collection so it makes me very happy to see it on someone off the runway, even if it’s on a cover.

On an aside though, aren’t y’all tired of the same ole’ angry model pose? The serious face, the ‘turn-you-into-stone stare’ and hands on the hips…?

Deepika graces the cover of the July 2009 edition of Vogue India in a Spring 2009 Dolce and Gabbana floral gown. If this gown looks familiar to you, it is because a dress version has already been seen on Diana Penty on the L’Officiel India March 2009 cover (see here).

Now that there are two covers with Deepika on em, got a favorite?

P.S. Isn’t it a bit disappointing to see a leading fashion magazine use a design already seen before.

On first glance, this dress looks more “Betsey Johnson” than Dolce but Dolce and Gabbana it is! Who would’ve thought! 🙂

While this cutesy floral dress isn’t really our thing, we still do prefer it over Natasha’s over-done ensemble! (See here)
