Dia did a whole lot of shimmer at the Vogue Beauty Awards wearing a silver sequin Rohit Gandhi + Rahul Khanna gown. She kept the hair and makeup simple which worked in her favor. Anything more might have felt a bit too costumey.

ICW 2017: On The Runway

The India Couture Week recently concluded in Delhi and as expected there were plenty of showstoppers from the cinematic world. Some fared well, some not so quite. Yep, we’re looking at you, Huma.

While Shilpa wore her brocade gown well, I wasn’t a fan of that puffy blouse. Alia sure shimmered in her Swarovski top but what was going on with that skirt? Between the color and the rosettes, we were not fans. Not one bit.

Between the men, Arjun had our vote in the classic velvet.

For the big awards night, Dia picked a printed Rocky S gown. With her hair partly pinned back, she rounded out the look with jewelry from H.Ajoomal and a printed clutch.

That’s a lot of print, and that’s a lot of volume… You’d think Dia would be completely overwhelmed by it but that wasn’t the case at all. The actor brings a certain whimsy to it and it worked for her. The DeBo vibe played out well; Dia looked nice.

Dia picked a Geisha Designs dress for her appearance at IIFA Rocks. Big hair, big earrings and a glossy lip rounded out the actor’s look.

As part of IIFA festivities, there was a fashion show earlier this evening in New York where actors served as showstoppers for different designers/brands.

Wearing a cotton sari with a kurta, Dia walked the runway for Myntra. Understated make-up and gold-toned accessories rounded out the actor’s look. Wish the jewelry (necklace) was different but that’s such a minor, minor gripe given how lovely Ms. Mirza looked. She was positively radiant! Love.
