We may not have been fans of the Harper’s cover but loving Ms. Padukone on the September Bridal special edition of Verve India. Ms. Padukone wears a hot off the couture runway Anamika Khanna lehenga with a velvet blouse.

P.S. What is it about the bridal issues that makes Verve also feature Vuitton on the cover. Remember this? A subtle way of implying that only Vuittons can help carry the heavy duty bridal wear? 😛

Although, we don’t have the best picture I can totally imagine this Lamé-likeFerragamo gown looking fab on Ms. Padukone. But, as much as I love the color, I cannot disregard how sloppily long this gown is and, that is killing the whole look for me. Just a few inches short and it would be perfection.

On an aside, drooling over the green My Charme flat, part of the My Ferragamo collection that will debut in India at Fashion’s Night Out at Delhi’s Emporio Mall (see inside).

Deepika on Harpers Bazaar:(Un)Covered

I love bow-ties (on men and on women) which is why now that I’ve seen how this D&G dress was presented on the runway, am not liking it at all on Deepika. The stylist just took away the best part about it. How do you like the cover?

Well, that didn’t take long. After one appearance in Sabya, Ms. Padukone was back to Manish Malhotra donning a green net sari at the Retail Jewellery India Awards.

Considering she tied her hair up and chose one statement piece of jewellery, I would’ve have rather seen her wear some emerald earrings with the sari than that necklace that is mostly covered. You like?

Deepika continues to sport desi clothes while out and about promoting her upcoming movie.

As much as I like the idea of a simple white outfit paired with pink for some color, the one on Ms. Padukone just looks so awkward. The more dressed-up look that she sported didn’t quite work either, perhaps owing to the color on her? Either way, it can’t be denied that the beautiful actress brings charm to the outfits making them look much better than they would have on anyone else.

After the gorgeous Sabya, this feels a bit anti-climatic.
