In Jigyam

Deepika attended the Lakhani-Bhagchandka wedding reception in a printed kurta set featuring heavy embellishment from Jigyam paired with kundan jewellery. At first glance, the kurta sure looks striking with the tassels and colors but the more I look at the print, it looks more like a mass scale machine print vs a block print.

Jigyam does some beautiful patola and bandhani pieces but this print seems so out of the their normal fare. Also, don’t get me started on that severe hairdo. Never been a fan of it.

In Gaurav Gupta

Deepika attended a Cartier event wearing a custom Gaurav Gupta gown sculptural gown and of course, these pics shared on social media were amazing. My issue though is I wish we could get some picture from the actual event. Alas, past three apperances she has had for the brand, even Cartier has not release images from the event.

You may ask why does it matter. It does, because these studio pics work in the sense of still life and perfect lighting. Real life though is a different thing.

Deepika was spotted on Friday grabbing dinner at a local eatery wearing a Zara asymmetric lace tee with denims and pumps. She sure made it look good.

In Label Anushree

Deepika attended a friend’s wedding in NY this week and was seen wearing a bandhani sari embellished on the borders with an embroidered blouse from Label Anushree.

The couple flew back to Mumbai with her sporting denims with a leather jacket and boots. Catch it inside.

Of Fan Meets

Deepika hosted a meet and greet with some of her fans and was seen doing a wine-red tonal look in what looked like was a sweater from & Other Stories. She looked good in the tonal look.
