In Twos

Aneet had two outings this past week and was seen first in a sequin Gaurav Gupta gown at an awards event and a one-shoulder gown from Amit Aggarwal upcycled benarasi sari. Ms. Padda is new to the red carpet/dress up scene and I think needs a few more of these outings to look a bit more comfortable and find her own signature style.

Between the two, I liked the Amit Aggarwal more. Wish we had better pics of her at the event. The lighting was terrible.

In Nikhil Thampi

Bhumi gave us quite a blast from the past wearing a brown gown from Nikhil Thampi from his older collection, one which we’ve seen in black version on this celeb here. Bhumi paired her gown with statement earrings and I think it made for a nice pairing. But, something is off and I think it was the makeup. Feels like she needed a reddish-orange tone lip color here to add some color and pickup off the earrings.

In AK-OK

Aditi ditched the sharara and pavadai thavani and opted for a black suit and statement jewellery from AK-OK to wear to an awards event. This definitely made for a very welcome change and she looked good in it!

In Gauri and Nainika

Rakul attended an awards event Thursday evening wearing a floral print gown from Gauri and Nainika. When I look at this gown, it feels like it should’ve just stayed as a frock dress and ended at the first layer. The decision to add another layer under to make it a gown wasn’t really working for me. Bottom part felt too overwhelming and fabric heavy.

Waist up though, she looked nice. Like what you see?

In Maison Amali

Diana was seen at an awards event wearing a silk top and part corset silk skirt from Maison Amali. Now, you know how over I have been with these corset designs but this one didn’t bother me as much as it was more of a smaller design element. Normally I would’ve asked for a brighter lip but this works as is.

P.S. Who else also wore the same design to this portal’s Style Awards back in June inside.
