WLIFW: Swapan & Seema


Swapan and Seema’s collection, ‘Snow Queen’ was a mix of saris, lehengas, cocktail dresses and gowns. Chiffons, crepes, velvets and satins were extensively used in a color palette that was wide-ranging, from plums, burgundy, oranges, yellow and neutrals. Gold and copper embroidery as well as intricate bead-work was used to elevate the look of the pieces.

WLIFW: Valaya


J J Valaya’s collection had a color palette that was infused with brick reds, charcoal blacks and slate greys! The clothes were sharply structured and and cleanly constructed. The fabrics used were cotton velvet, lycra linen, lycra georgette, lycra cotton and silk. Also, this collection liberally used old silver coins strategically embroidered onto the pieces as embellishment.

WLIFW: Monapali


Monapali’s collection used Indian silhouettes and traditional lines and infused in them an avant-garde appeal.

Kantha work, appliques, linen, tussar, knits, embroidery and prints featured prominently in the collection. The color palette had a vintage appeal with its use of antique grey, matte beige and dull gold and subdued rose.

WLIFW: Raghavendra Rathore For Chivas


Raghavendra Rathore’s collection for Chivas used clean, timeless lines and structure. Silks, brocades, wool, hand-woven fabrics all were used abundantly in the collection. There were Kimono sleeves, flowing silk dresses, prints, fabrics with metallic sheen, heavy use of belts and sharply tailored menswear. The colors were mostly neutral with blacks, browns, greys and blacks though a pop of color did make its way in now and then.

WLIFW: Rahul Khanna & Rohit Gandhi


Rahul Khanna & Rohit Gandhi’s collection was chic, sophisticated and for the urban fashionista.. The colors were subtle and subdued tones of greys, plums, purples and neutrals!

Quilted jackets, slim silhouettes, jeweled accents, toned down metallic accents, pleats, belts, wide necklines and sharply tailored pieces were what made up the collection.
