Day two of SIIMA saw Amala in a black Sonaakshi Raaj sari gown and jewellery from Suhani Pittie. I’ve got to admit the cuff pick was a great one. It’s eye catching without being too distracting.

My only gripe about this look: the phone. As much as it coordinated with the look, it had no place on the red carpet. It made a 10 on 10 look more of a 9.8.

Amala opted for a Gauri and Nainika on day one of SIIMA wearing the red gown with just floral rings from Mrinalini Chandra. Given the dramatic ruffle detail, it was a good idea to keep the look simple but I wish she’d worn her hair to the back or even in an updo.

Am too distracted by the hair to properly pay attention to do the gorgeous rings.

Tamil actor Amala Paul tied the knot with director Vijay last week. The wedding festivities saw the bride in a pink Anita Dongre lehenga at the sangeet, a red Kanjeevaram at the traditional wedding ceremony, a white gown by Himani at the ring exchange ceremony and a gold Sabyasachi floor-length anarkali at the reception. Jewellery from Amrapali and Joy Allukas finished out the wedding trousseau.

Our congratulations to the newly weds.

Wearing a Anamika Khanna couture, Amala attended Ramya and Aparajith’s wedding reception that was held in Chennai over the weekend. If the look feels familiar, it’s because we’ve seen Freida ( see here) wear the top and dupatta with a skirt versus Amala who wore sharara pants.

At SIIMA, day one saw Amala in a melon Gauri and Nainika and day two in a blue Stella McCartney.

Wasn’t really feeling the jeweled floral belt that she wore with the Stella. The silver sandals also felt too heavy for the gown. Minor gripes cuz she looked really good waist up.
