It was an Abu Sandeep for Aishwarya while at a ceremony where she was honored with the Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters (Chevalier dans l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres) by the French.

Though she looked great, how we long to see her in something… less busy for one. These Abu-Sandeep outfits make for a great change from the usual. Not much novelty in ’em when they are the usual.

I like gota work in small doses which is why I love the Abu-Sandeep kurta that Neetu opted for at the nikaah ceremony. Having said that though, Neetu should’ve opted for kitten heels or flats to pair with the pyjama bottoms.

She finished her look out with emerald drop earrings and a Jimmy Choo Kase clutch.

Also at the sangeet were these lovely ladies with Neetu and Anu in Abu Sandeep kurta-churidaars and Shabina in Ritu Kumar and Krishika in Vikram Phadnis lehengas.

The ladies in suits definitely fared better than the ones who picked lehengas. To be fair though, Shabina fared a lot better than Ms. Lulla. You only need one quick Google image search to see Ms. Lulla’s serious fit issues.
