Lehenga Love?

Sonam kicked off Diwali festivities wearing a a light rust red khadi lehenga by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla but the standout part of her outfit was the clay and paper mâché bustier made by The Vernacular Modern.

Am I surprised that in a time where folks are flocking to metallic bustiers or wearing a Theyyam wall decor as a top, Sonam who already sported a Suneet Varma metal bustier went for something different. Not one bit. The Kapoor sisters love to up the ante and did so here as well.

Like the look? I wish the bust wasn’t that high on the neck. The emeralds against the rust color though was striking.

Another Diwali party, and we saw Sharvari in another lehenga featuring a metallic top, this time in an Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla one. While I like the simple hairdo and studs pick, not a big fan of the shoulder design on that choli. Yes, it is a Jani Khosla signature but doesn’t mean I had to like it.

Tamannaah attended a Diwali party on Saturday evening wearing a pink Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla lehenga with a kundan necklace and stacks of bracelets. Between the blouse style and the wearing of the lehegna way below the navel, the lehenga looked like it belonged to an item number. I don’t understand who is at fault here, her or her stylist. Ms. Bhatia deserves way better.

In Asal By Abu Sandeep

Radhika attended an awards event Saturday evening wearing a long kurta from Asal by Abu Sandeep paired with emerald earrings and Aprajita Toor kolhapuri wedges. Between the anarkali and the side hairdo, this look was reminding me so much of Aishwarya from back in the day where she used to sport the side parted do with her Abu Sandeeps.

As for Radhika, she looked nice here.
