Sari Style

Tabu and Mini were among the few attendees to wear saris at Karan’s Birthday do, and they did stand out in the crowd. It was a Manish Malhotra sari for the former, and a signature pleated sari by Kiran Uttam Ghosh for the latter, and they both looked good.

  1. Growing up in Ahmedabad, I remember our annual visits to the famed wholesale Sindhi Market in old-town every Diwali or prior to family weddings with my mom and aunt. We’d get yards and yards of these inexpensive chamkili fabrics in multiple colors and use it for decoration and crafts. My kiddie self loved it. Having followed Manish Malhotra’s creations for years, I’m convinced he lurks around there too.

  2. Most guests seemed to dress in sequins/glitter-y outfits. If that was the theme, then Tabu is more on point here.
But Mini looks so sweet & beautiful!

  3. Was the theme something like title song of movie Om Shanti Om?? Looks like they all will break into a dance on this song. Lol. Tabu looks classy even in bling from head to toe. Mini is as always pretty but extra point to Tabu for sticking to the theme of the party. 😀

  4. Tabu’s looking really beautiful inspite of the oft repeated MM sequin sari worn by everybody and their sister. Just goes to prove how gorgeous this woman is!

  5. Mini looks super chic here. The colors on the saree are just gorg!

Tabu looks better than most in that tacky saree and rocks the look with just her awesome grace.

    Both look good!
