Sari Style

Comment image 17

Wearing saris, Taapsee and Tara attended the Bachchan diwali party with the former wearing a black one by Vvani By Vani Vats and the latter, a grey one by Manish Malhotra. I actually really liked Tara’s sari but that itty-bitty bra blouse killed the look for me. As did the makeup. As for Taapsee, props for opting for a sari, but this one wasn’t feeling very festive and I wasn’t a fan of the rows of gota.

  1. Omg. What on earth is Tara wearing? Jeesus! That last picture is just wrong in any setting, even worse at someone’s Diwali party.
My opinion of her has just bottomed after this. It wasn’t too great to begin with but this is just pathetic.

  2. Tara is grabbing all sorts of attention for the wrong reasons and looks really cheap. Had she worn the pallu in a proper way with a pony or a bun ,she would hv looked lovely. I actually like what Taapsee is wearing. And by not being festive, do you mean not blingy

  3. Tapsee looked fab…pl get better photos . Tara is tacky as ever. Her concealer was visible from miles … to malaika’s bday she wore a strip of cloth as a top.

  4. I’ve no idea why you posted these two looks together!? Tapsee’s sari is stunning! It’s festive too, not sure why black cannot be festive?

Tara’s non-blouse is a disgrace to sari wearing. It’s too vulgar and desperate. Whatever happened to being seductive with a hint of cleavage? I want Tara and Shraddha to be locked in a room together wearing what they were wearing on Diwali .. 😉

    • @SJ, yes, yes, and yes.
I don’t get why these two are in the same frame.
Tapsee is elegant and comfy next to all the blingy, over-engineered looks featured in the last couple of days.
I didn’t think anyone could top Ileana’s boob show but this zaalim duniya proved me wrong in less than 24 hours. Like celebrity deaths in threes, I want this booby-saree trend to quietly die with Mini, Ileana, and Tara’s ample contribution.

      • Hahaha zaalim duniya !! 100% agree @sheera.. I am joining you in the prayer. The new Bollywood brigade is a total disaster, only Sara Ali Khan with her simple suits and sensible dressing is noteworthy. I don’t care what designer you are wearing, at least don’t walk out of your home in a state of undress 🙁

  5. Tara’s blouse is a joke. I wonder how do they even function in the party with such a blouse? Do they pin it once the photos are done? Or cover it up properly? All I see a nip slip about to happen… But I get it … this is all attention seeking gimmicks and way to be in the news… what a waste coz she’s otherwise decent looking!

  6. Is Tara going the same way as Disha? Tata display full on! So so very tacky and unnecessary. Taapsee looks normal after all those gimmicky clothes she has worn recently. As always, nice to see a normal blouse and drape on this blog.

  7. Oh God!! Whats going on with Tara? She is always in such cleavage baring clothes? She just started out so its not like she wants to stay relevant and in news, why would she want to be perceived like this? Women are equally responsible for objectifying themselves as is evident here. What she wore to Malaika’s party was an assault on the senses.

    • Exactly, how can we keep saying Women have the right to wear what they want and nobody should stare at them etc. Women like Tara willingly dress up like this to grab attention, want others to objectify them.

  8. Tapsee looks pretty.. I think it is right amount of festive.. Also for Tara, if paired with a normal blouse, she too would have looked nice.. The blouse ruined it for her…

  9. So basically, figure banaya hai, body banayi hai, toh dikhana toh hai hi. Without any sense of appropriation, relevance, or context…There is no difference between a frat party and a Diwali party.
