In Shilpa Reddy
On day two of SIIMA, Taapsee wore a green blouse and skirt by Shilpa Reddy. As much as I like the color and the embellishment, the design of the blouse is where all love was lost. Didn’t care for the boxy shoulders but the bigger issue I have with this look is with the visible hooks. My sari blouses look like that except that I wear a sari over that covers it up.
The look as a whole felt very filmy and one that we didn’t like. She did look better at the after-party, but we’ll feature that look a wee bit later.

She is a film star. Why shouldn’t she look filmy? Jesus Christ on a Crutch!
Somewhere there’s a dupatta crying for it’s mommy. This is 100% a case of “ooops I went to the bathroom and left my dupatta hanging on the hook”.
ROFL
LOL!
Hahaha.. exactly. The dress is begging for a dupatta.
Lmao. This is exactly what I wore as a ten year old and even back in the day I had the sense to wear a dupatta!
It’s not acceptable in any world.. These ladies and so called desingers think they can make and wear anything and call it fashion. Smh. Please move to real world
+1 Shilpa Reddy should stick to modelling and leave designing to the real fashion designers.

Guess is that it is actually a half saree but she or her stylist decided she doesn’t need to wear the dupatta/odni in order to look more ‘hep’. There cannot be any other reason a blouse would be made with front opening with hooks, if not to be worn with a saree or half saree. Beautiful skirt:blouse but incomplete.
Every former Ms/Mrs/Miss India thinks they can be a ‘designer’. This is the result
For some reason it reminds me of madhuri dixit’s outfit from ham apke hai kaun
Thought of Madhuri but the ‘choli ke peeche’ one. Without the dupatta, looks unfinished.
Such a pretty girl, such perfect hair and makeup and such a lovely colour… but well, a blouse and a petticoat is never acceptable!
