Swara attended Ekta Kapoor’s baby naming ceremony, Swara was seen in a sharara by Bhumika Grover. While the sharara was nice, she looked a bit overdressed for the event. Actually, I am confused what the dress code was. Some were in dresses and some dressed like they were attending a Diwali party.

Actually its pretty much part of rituals in India.
Wellll..that’s an age old ritual..not a recent invention. We call it ‘naamkaran’.
It is called “Namakaranam” or “Barasala” in Telugu.
Do you think the baptism is an invented ritual? The ‘naamkaran’ has been around since before I was born, and I’m about a hundred years old. It was also the time when most of the extended family and friends first saw the baby.

Its called “Naamkaran” in Hindi and has been going for ages. Its bigger and gets coverage because its Bollywood, but it isnt something they have invented.

What the dress code, I’m so glad to see the old pre-Veere Swara smile back. Especially in the way she carries herself, it really takes the whole look to another level, even though the outfit isn’t much to write home about-
This is awful. Just awful. Even her expression says so. She needs to throw out most of her Indian wear.
