She looks sooo good! Satin/shiny silk is a very unforgiving fabric, but she manages to pull it off really well. Am not a big fan of stockings, but that is forgiven.

hey guys, hate to put a dampener on all the excitement about sridevi’s fabness. i do agree that she has aged more gracefully when compared to others. and much better than was expected judging from what she was like in her heydey. but i think the dress itself is really bad looking. it seems to be very poorly stitched and does not appear to fit sridevi nor the model well. and there are ugly seams everywhere, including one running right down the middle of her body. it looks cheap to me.
It would have been better if she didnt wear those stockings… its drowns everything to black. Little leg would have been nice.

Va va voom! She looks absolutely adorable – understated make up, nifty dress – and she’s working the look with great panache! I really think the auntie comment was out of line though. I mean, nobody calls akshay or shahrukh uncle while posting about them. Why so sexist?

Well all that I can say is that of recent I have seen her in so many saris that this look albeit ‘fresh’ looks a bit perculiar on her…dont know whether it is the style of the dress or the stockings but this look is not working for her. But in my books she has always been one of the best dressers both on screen and off.

Forgot to add that I am not a big fan of the present outfit. It is just an OK kind after seeing her in that saree.
I agree with Chaahi. She looks uncomfortable, and very self conscious in the dress. Stockings are a no no. Just because one has achieved a target size to wear dresses later on in life, why must one? embrace what you feel comfortable in .
Decent dress but the stockings are not gelling with it. It looks kinda ugly. She is looking Beautiful otherwise and has maintained herself. Kudos to her.

minus stocking… she rocked it completly! I dont think she is uncomfortable and all.. she must have seen more uncomfortable situations (and dresses in films). And the comment abt her age gets my goat. We dont call Amir or SRK uncle..
Sans stockings I think she would have totally rocked the look.. But I am not complaining.. she has always been fabulous…I agree she is not that old.. about 45.. she just seems older because she has been around since she was 12 in movies.. she looked older for her age so they took her as lead since whenever…

I didn’t say she IS old, just that she looks good for her age. As someone in her 20’s, I’d be glad to look like her when I am in my 40’s.

OK I am a little torn on this one. I LOVE sridevi and have been a huge fan from forever…
I absolutely loved how she looked in the saris. Now she looks OK here, but thats mainly because she seems to have the figure to carry off the dress. But I think Sri has one of those classically traditional Indian faces that look best in traditional attire. The stockings kill the look here. Also I do agree that she looks somewhat self-conscious.
Now if only I could have a bod like that in my 40s…
Wow she is looking fabulous. Maybe she went with the tights because she is trying not to show more skin? I think patterned tights would’ve looked better. But she still looks great! She is tall with a curvy body, I think if worn properly she would rock any outfit – regardless of this age factor nonsense.

I am 40 and wish I looked as good as her. I have to say………she looks damn good. I like her style in general. Stockings are a NO NO in this case.

Sridevi has always been a stunner! She looks good and dresses well. I like this outfit, but I think too much black doesn’t suit her so well. Maybe if the dress were in a different color it would look nicer!
