‘English Vinglish’ was just dubbed into Japanese (now that sound’s funny, doesn’t it?) and to promote it Sridevi traveled to Tokyo. Given the two Sabyasachi looks in the course of a day, am assuming the press meet was an all day event.
Question is, which Sabyasachi look do you like her more in?

Both the looks are a little heavy/ too much for me..nevertheless she looks good as always

She looks gorgeous in both. Only Sridevi ji can work all that red. I don’t think being OTT is an issue in Japan since they love Rajnikant apparently(Indian movies wise). 😛
I used to think that Rajni movies were popular in Japan too. But i later found out that they love the actresses in them more than Rajni. The actresses in Rajni movies are usually styled in very pretty traditional clothes and are usually not skinny. So they look like godesses from Indian temples. I realized this when i went to Japan and saw the DVD covers of Indian movies – Rajni was somewhere in a small picture at the back. The front had the actresses in traditional clothes, dance costumes with full on make up. So i am sure they love Sridevi here.

Ah ok. But I know for sure after Muthu (dubbed as dancing god ) the popularity to Tamil movies got real high. Well, I have not yet been to Japan. But some of my Japanese friends in the US asked me about Rajnikant. So it was a like a “whoa” moment.
PS: Yes, I do like the Sari look too. But she has done the gold sari look quite a bit. 🙂
love the looks, even though possibly maybe because of a lighting issue, the makeup looks kabuki white in some of the pics. Sridevi sure can give the twenty something newer actresses a run for their money in the looks department (& talent too) .. and when she seems to enjoy herself and not be too self conscious, she can out beat a teen in the joie de vivre department too..
