Jumpsuit Style

If we were on that runway, we’d be mortified to leave the house for weeks. Not Sri though. She bounced right back and attended a birthday party today wearing an olive jumpsuit paired with a large Gucci Jackie hobo.

Sure, that matching striped cardigan felt a wee-bit granny and a long black one would’ve worked better, but hey, anything better than the shiny gown, right?

  1. You guys are very biased….Please!!! She is looking good…and you guys think Ash looked good in that hideous white shirt from 1990’z WOW!!! This is clearly WE LOVE ASH blog..no matter what she does…you guys start gushing….and why is it Shri devis fault if the designer didnt know how to make a show stopper for her own show…I am sure Ash was spotted in much worse crap..but again this is WE LOVE ASH…no one else dare step out of your house…!!!

    • i agree this is Ash and Soman love blog, they are never critiz whatever crap they wear, (Ash post today is not even worth mentioning, her top is challeging suri cruise and so blah and casual )but i have to say that what sridevi is wearing is really bad, she looks like 10 years older , the colour is not flatering either, so i will give that to P&P this time.

Ps i think the girls ned to be neutral instea of favouring some stars over the others .Sorry girls but that’s the thruth no offence

    • I second on that….PnP should treat everyone equal. Sri had a hideous dressing sense earlier (remember those brown tight fitting shirts) and then she came a long way …and is now rightfully flaunting herve leger skirts and is looking excellent even in the shiny dress by Lulla.
Ash has not done anything to improve the fashion entity which is part of her glamour/charisma…. I dont say that ash dress sense but then I dont see a constant improvement trend there and that is a tad disappointing.

    • I agree!
Sometimes i am just baffled by the appreciation ppl get for wearing mediocre clothes.
Ash has had the same hairstyle, hair colour, makeup, lipstick colour, eye makeup for ages. I fine it so pointless commenting on her looks anymore.

Sridevi atleast tries new things… some might work, some might not but for most part she does justice. I like her here, the jumpsuit is not overwhelming and she carries it well.

    • I think we are missing a point here…its not “who is more beautiful” or if we hate Ash…The point is that Highheelconfidential is a fashion blog…and at times it feels that these fashion critique are not critiquing fashion..but who they personally like…..or not…If you want the respect of fashion followers please start talking about fashion..not who is your personal fav. and again Shri is at a bday party!!!!!

  2. I think she looks great – she’s done the monochromatic look well – i love the sheer sleeves on the cardigan. No so granny for me! Quite trendy.. love the colour of the bag, wow i actually LOVE this look!

  3. The dress on the runway was hideous, but most of us agreed that she managed to look good. So why should she be mortified?

Like this understated look of hers. Its casual, not granny-like at all.

  4. A long black cardigan would NOT have looked nice and would have made this outfit very blah! The olive green cardigan with stripes is in line with the monochromatic trend and makes the outfit more interesting.
    It’s a lovely casual look!
Note to Sridevi: Could you not have been like this back in the day. I remember your dresses and let’s just hope they burned in the fire that killed Mogambo. I still love you though!

      • Hope Sri really does read that note….LOL!

But seriously, Bollywood has only very recently woken up from a deep coma where the heroines only wore garish, cheap outfits that were sewn on the set by local darzis…such pretty girls but outrageous costumes back then…even the make-up…shudder!!!

  6. She looks lovely and chic. If it was a black one, it would look like those similar style teen models for forever 21. Glad she chose this.

PS:I thought you ladies don’t use terms like Aunty or Granny on any celebrity?:P

  7. wow ! this was a nice surprise from my fav DIVA and style icon … THANK YOUUUUUU …. !!! P’n’P for posting it.
C’mon you guys …. SRI atleast makes an attempt to experiment with her looks …. this look is a perfect example of keeping it simple and stylish …. i mean if she makes an effort some of think she tries too hard … if she keeps it simple u guys call it monochromatic or granny like …. and if she flaunts her assets ( read bust and legs ) u guys think she is too busty or that her bust area is disproportionate …. this is one look which does not draw obvious attention to her bust or legs …..for me this look is a welcome change as she is wearing a jumpsuit and has actually pulled her hair back … (usually she keeps it open with a side parting … classic sri . sigh :P).
P S my request to sri please leave the jumpsuit to rani and the likes 😛 when you have the height and the assets to pull off any outfit ( including shiny hideous gowns) why not play with it and flaunt it . amen to that . love ya babe . mwah !

  8. I loved this look of hers. So simple …reminded me of my good old Sri. Might be some problem with my eyes but her face is looking younger and fuller in this pic.
And…Please….P&P do not hate Sridevi. They love her…I know ….their criticism on Sridevi has never been even slightly HARSH.

  9. I love this look. She is working the jumpsuit and cardigan makes it really chic. I am glad she stuck to one color palette. I really thought jumpsuits can look good (if at all) only on younger people, but she has changed my mind. May be I’ll try one too.
