For its ‘Visible White’ launch, Colgate roped in Manish Malhotra to present a collection using the brand’s colors, reds and whites. And walking for the designer was Sonam Kapoor. Below is your look at both the actor on the runway and, some of the pieces that were presented.

  1. Loved the outifits worn by the models !! This is the first
time I have ever liked so many pieces from a MM collection !!!!

But what did they do to Sonam???? She looks bad here.. Bad outfit, forced clevage and if the excessive mid-riff show wasnt tacky enough, they had to stick in that shiny thing in the belly button !! Eeeww !!

    • SK looks like she just stepped out of a Chandni Bar-esque movie set & on to the stage and couldn’t be bothered to change into an appropriate/current outfit for the fashion show(if you can even call it that).geez..

  2. This fashion show fixation is getting seriously stupid… Why does a toothpaste brand need clothes?! None of the models are even smiling, if they were hired to showcase the product, bad job. In any case, who is going to buy these ugly clothes- not like they are going to come free with every tube one buys. Or are you going to say, ooh yes, this little thing…It’s from the Colgate Collection, you know. Yikes.

  5. I can’t even begin to count how many things are wrong about this..
Fashion show for a toothpaste launch?
    Same old filmy outfits?
No smiling models, and the tacky cleavage +belly buttn shiny thing (as pointed out by above commentors)
Ombre effects reminding me of bleeding gums…
And again, fashion show for toothpaste launch? Why???

  6. This is heights, a fashion show for toothpaste, doesn’t make any sense!

On a side note I think Deepika’s sharara in the new yjhd song is from this collection.

  7. Bollywood/Media/Ad agencies are really funny in India … To put together a fashion show for a toothpaste is quite … Original 😀

That being said, Sonam took my breath away. Not talking about the outfit rather plain and MM-esque. But she looks so lovely here 🙂

  8. Colgate is not advertising in a conventional sense, they are collaborating and promoting the brand name here. I don’t know why everyone here is expecting an ear to ear grin from the models and Sonam. And Sonam looks sexy maybe for the very first time. I like this collection.

If sonam walks the ramp in these pathetic outfits….in no time her style diva image will go down the drain and Its high time MM gets over net and sequins. It’ looks outdated.

  11. Does no one like a little Indian sexiness anymore? Sonam looks hot – her sexy curves, the cleavage – it is not sophisticated of course – it is meant to be Dirty Picture ish hotness! As for Colgate and fashion show…I don’t understand these things so I don’t care.

  12. Wow, I think everyone has been very harsh. While I am no fan of MM, this collection is without a doubt, better than most of his other recent work I’ve seen. I actually think the restrained palette helped him a great deal. There are definitely typically “Bollywood” pieces, including Sonam’s, but much of the first row very compelling with the use of stripes and white-on-white imagery. Also, the lack of velvet is so refreshing.

It however seems that people are just focusing on the name and brands associated. While I agree that a toothpaste has no reason to market its brand with a fashion show, I at least can apperciate the results of it. I actually like most of this collection and I think it’s far better than velvet-filled nonsense we’ve been seeing from him.

  14. Colgate would have most better spent their money throwing it from a high rise than sponsoring an ombré red white themed fashion show. What a waste. And for once MM’s non sequiny veloury designs have been totally downplayed by the toothpaste association. Very bad brand strategy for both.
Dislike SK’s styling, totally chandani barmaid
