In Rami Al Ali Couture

Sonam attened the Big Star Entertainment Awards wearing an organza top and full skirt, both from Dubai based Lebanese designer Rami Al Ali. Pairing the separates with a Judith Leiber clutch and silver Choo heels, she finished out the look with jewellery from Gehna and Anmol.

Given the neckline of the top and the full-skirt, keeping the hair simple was a good move but considering we just saw her do something similar on Saturday, this look felt like it came too quickly.

I also wish Ms. Kapoor would give us more youthful looks. These overwhelming gowns and mature looks are becoming a bit run of the mill.

  1. This outfit looked gorgeous on the model (pic not featured on this blog) but Sonam looks like she’s behind a ‘head in the hole cut out’. Something about the fit is really off on her. The look could have benefitted a LOT from a simple updo.

  2. Did PnP mildly criticise Sonam, just then??? We’ve been saying this for ages , haven’t we. Ashen faced in odd, unflattering princessy gowns. And here she is looking ginormous to boot. Would love to give her a chic haircut, scrub her face and send a down in a pair of jeans and a nice top.

    • I agree. She’s a stunning woman and would look great in a pair of jeans for a change. Or a sheath dress. How many more times can we see a princess dress /gown and gush over it. We are all over that look Sonam and so should you be.

    • My guess is that she’ll wear these sort of young and fun look when she is in her 40s. Maybe I’m wrong but in my opinion she’s one of those women who dress old when they are young and then will wear funky clothes when older.

    • They don’t buy these dresses. Most of the time they borrow from designers and return the items.
Designers give them for free or they pay them to wear their designs for marketing.

  3. it’s one of her baddest looks. i really don’t like it…. even if you are not gonna post this, highheelconfidential, i’m repeating it again: she is wearing everything her stylists/designers give her. I want to see more of herself, her own style. For me she didn’t found her style yet. (That doesn’t mean that she doesn’t look good some times…)

  4. Okay this is just a tad TOO voluminous ! No matter what she wears, rarely ever does the outfit eat her up.
It literally looks like she’s standing behind the outfit.. heheh.
