The Long And Short Of It

While Sonam went long in a blue jumpsuit, Malaika went short in a blue romper at Twinkle Khanna’s new launch event.

If Malaika had on a smaller bag instead of the big one, I might have said both but looking at the two, am gravitating more towards Sonam on this. What about you?

P.S. Sonam is in Stella McCartney. Thanks ‘Protyasha’.

  1. Agreed. Sonam looks far more sophisticated. I like Malaika’s jumpsuit, but I everything else she paired it with. Very tacky.

  2. Hmmmm a shorter bag on that romper would not work. A trendy big bag is surely a lot better. The romper just seems plain off and totally pales in comparison to the jumpsuit. So my vote’s for Sonam :). Love the shade of the blue though.

  4. lol!! Malaika’s bag looks bigger than her dress!! maybe she should try covering herself up with that bag of hers, too much skin show, that too when u’re dressed in baby clothes is not good you see!!!

  5. WTH Are you guys some drunk on Sonam that you overlook this horrible outfit? It is an ill fitting and tacky looking jumpsuit. Plus the accessories are all wrong – dreadful bag and wrong shoes.

As for Malaika, no grown woman should be wearing a shiny romper to any event. Then to top it with an ugly bag and shoes is beyond words.

Why are these women not being chided for their bad fashion choices? I know this site has favorites but this is just too blatant.

    • LOL I would like to know what you consider a ‘good’ outfit.

Between the two Sonam gets my vote. Classy chic, she gets its right.

      • No, that is not classy chic. Does fit no longer matter? Look at how Sonam’s jumpsuit has fabric bunching below the breast and above the waist and the fabric pooling around her feet. The jumpsuit is the wrong size or fit and the legs too long. Tailoring is an important part of being well dressed.

        • @Carol, its not what you wear its the way you wear it. Some people can wear a gunny sack and still look good. Considering Malaika is a good 10 years older than Sonam and oozes sex appeal in real life, I saw them both and both looked fab in person. I dont like Malaika’s shoes, but Sonam has the biggest feet i have ever seen on a woman:))

      • between the two sonam gets my vote too, but I do not like either of the two outfits. love the color. sonam’s bag would be better without the long strap.

    • I think I agree – both the outfits are horrible – including the color considering it was a indoor day event. Sonam’s outfit is ill-fitting, too long for her and has the wrong accessories. If anybody else was wearing this – would surely have been chided.

    • Biases/favorites, it’s been blatant for a while now. Agree on the ill-fitting jumpsuit. Love the color though. Malaika’s fashion choices have always been trashy and this look is no different.

  6. Sonam looks regal indeed! What a gorgeous girl! Would have liked a different bag though. The girl can carry jump suits like nobody else in tinsel town! As for Malaika…too short too tacky.

  7. I can’t seem to like these jumpsuits no matter how much I try. Having said that, I must admit Sonam still totally rocks the look. She looks good.

  8. The length issue on Sonam’s jumpsuit is my only (major) peeve. Minor peeve is I just don’t dig that clutch with her outfit.

As for Mrs. Khan the less said the better. I don’t like rompers in general and this one doesn’t really do much to change my mind – and how about a smile instead of that ‘I am too good for you’ look or whatever it is.

  11. sonam looks radiant…malaika’s choice of accessories(except the glasses…im going through a wayfarers phase myself currenltly)ruins the look…

but having said which i think the colour(malaika’s specially cos its all shiny)is a tad too much for a day event…

  12. I love both the looks though I agree malaika should have opted for a smaller bag…..and given a chance I would love to raid sonam’s wardrobe 🙂

  13. I dont see how Sonam’s handbag is ‘going’ with that Jumpsuit….

It just looks wierd to me..allthough not quite as wierd as Mallaika’s bag.

  14. I don’t think Sonam’s outfit fits her very well. Neither do I like that clutch.
Malaika – as someone else said, no adult should wear a shiny romper anywhere outside her house.
That aside, I like Malaika’s bag. Must find something that looks like it.

  15. Malaikas Bag probably more material than her jumpsuit.
Sonams jumpsuit looks just a tad bit too long. But it could be a photo angle. Other than that, she looks fab !

  16. malaikas starting to look like a WAG and a bit trashy also. Sonam looks chic and sophisticated – wish they had swapped outfits. Sonams would have looked more appropriate for malaika and vice versa, as Sonams so young she can carry off the ultra short length.

  17. This is the best I’ve ever seen Sonam look. The long length of the jumpsuit, is one of the quirks I love about it!! Gives a more casual, bohemian look. LOVE!
