Wearing Raw Mango with Amrapali jewellery, Sonam attended the unveiling of the Surinder Kapoor chowk in Mumbai on Thursday morning. For a day event, the layered look was a bit much but then it is Ms. Kapoor we are talking about. Having said that though, this was a huge improvement over her recent sari outings.
I’d wear this but to an evening event.

She should’ve ditched the pants and worn the kurta as a dress with the jacket.
Overkill as usual but the vast improvement in her makeup is because this time her makeup artist did not bake the under eye concealer- this is from her Instagram stories.
So much better – Remember Sonam of yore ?? during her Saawariya days ?? before she started taking herself too seriously and began her slow decline to fashion victimhood ??That old Sonam has shown herself again. Nice to see her almost normal.
The jacket is clearly not doing anything for the outfit.
Refreshing to see her dressed normally.. Wish she stops wearing those ghastly things she calls sarees and what not….

This is so pretty! Lovely color combination as well. It’s a good example of how to wear layers, would love to try a similar pattern someday.
I loved the kurta, and the layering. Sonam looks lovely. What did’t work so well in my opinion is the mismatched colour shades. The green on the kurta and salwar are different, and the gold tones on the jewellery, shoes and salwar are different again. Not to mention two different tones (gold and pearl) by way of jewellery. All in all, it makes the look disconnected, as if hastily put together.
I would wear this in a heartbeat and actually feel the colours lend themselves to a day event for sure. So nice ??
This particular material from raw mango looks like crumpled metallic gift wrap. It does not look nice in real or in photographs either. One of those rare items in the collection I never liked, and i am surprised that Sonam had to pick this one…

Not event appropriate, Janhvi was at the same event and looks like what one should for this simple day event.
Wow. Sonam looks like the beautiful girl she is here. Simple, classy and fuss free. We can see the person and not the show personality here! In her quest to be a fashion diva, she has made a mockery of herself… wish she returns to some level of normalcy such as this look.
Looks like she is attending some wedding function! Why does she always dresses over the top?! I Guess any event to attend her stylist team brings all the designer clothes from all over the world, no matter whether it is event appropriate !
I actually like this look. Too much matchy matchy doesn’t always look good. A bit of disconnect is nice & showcases your personal style. Being too cookie cutter always isn’t necessary. Plus she clearly enjoys flamboyant fashion so this is normal for her.
