In Natasha J

Sonam attended a press meet for the upcoming FLO Films Festival wearing a Natasha J lehenga with Dhora earrings and an Amrapali necklace. Wearing the white coat over the shoulders sure had a striking effect but I really question the practicality of wearing it throughout. Perhaps removing it while at the event would have seemed a bit more natural. No?

She did wear the coat eventually at a screening of Neerja later in the day.

  1. This outfit has the part of my brain that thinks fashion (which is a big part) confused! I like the cape by itself – not sure with this outfit though. Also, I prefer the look when she is actually wearing it rather than over the shoulders. Furthermore, not sure I like the waist coat type coat/top with this lehenga. I think in the end it’s over accessorized for my taste and I am not sure the ‘Heidi’ style hair works here either. She does look very pretty though and the lehenga is very nice!

  2. That is plain silly. She is looking awkward lighting the lamp with her arms not moving. Why would anyone do that. It’s not like it’s looking great anyways.

  3. Something’s amiss!
I think the whole outfit is too voluminous. It makes her look very big.
Also, Namrata Soni is doing something wrong with her foundation. The face never matches the body and I would think that is makeup 101. I’m not insinuating that Sonam is being made to look lighter than she is, but the make up is always so distracting and it takes away from the clothes. Otherwise, NS is definitely one of the best in the industry and I’m such a fan.

  4. This actually lools funny- lehnga with a short kurti like top which shows a forced clevage- a neck piece to actually draw attention to tht fiasco- a milkmaid braid n facepaint which is not matching with rest of body- n finally an unecessarily draped coat which magically seems like its stuck to d shoulders ..! Oddity in the name of fashion forward i say!!!

  5. I like the skirt as a separate piece. In the last three pics the jacket doesn’t look so bad, but as soon as she ‘drapes’ it the whole look fails. Importantly, is the coat velcroed to the blouse? Weird.

  6. the vest top doesnt go with the skirt, the skirt doesnt go with coat, the coat doesnt go with vest. And there we have ourselves a complete circle of fashion fail.

  7. Are you sure that is a lehenga? Doesn’t even look like lehenga skirt to me.. That is just an ethnic skirt with a formal jacket on top which is made to look ethnic. The hairstyle is too corset-dress-princessy and the pink lip is too stark.

  8. I do love Sonams choice of outfits. She experiments with a lot of different styles but I think she needs to
go a little light handed with her makeup.

  9. Once again, a case of too many cooks spoiling the broth. The brooches (?) on the top, the necklace, the earrings, the hairstyle, the golden embellishments on the lehenga, the bright lipstick – too many elements thrown together as if it was an editorial photoshoot!
Minus the necklace, brooches, bright lipstick and classic skinny pants or plain skirt and this look could have sold dream. The coat is so beautiful.

  10. For a fashionista that messy collar (gosh did she put a safety pin to hold it open so she could sports some cleaveage?) look just aint looking fashionable. The skirt, geez, where to start… did she plan to wear all her clothes in the closet at once?
