Of Store Launches
Sonam lent her support to designer Masaba at the latter’s store launch in Delhi wearing a sari by the designer paired with a dull cream gold fabric clutch and earrings from the Masaba x Amrapali line. The sari was nice but am on the fence about the gold embroiderey on the upper arm.
Sonam also helped launch Masaba’s flagship Mumbai store 15 years ago. Catch it here.

I dont get the blouse.
Whats it in the first photo, under the seam? It looks so bad, it appears as if her under bodice wants to attend the event too.
the saree has tamizh letters printed on it.
There were 139 comments on that post 15 years ago!
Seeeee Payal, it wasn’t just Aish posts that got a load of traffic lol
I had previously mentioned how the comments engagement has dropped massively over the past few years.
Even basic “star” posts would have 20 odd comments…
Yes, now with Instagram and everyone covering fashion, there are a lot more publications and IG accounts.
Well, none of them have a KWK mention!
May the blog live on to see Taimur / Rahas debuts too lol
Sonam’s looking really nice here. Love that she only went with the beautiful earrings and bindi.
5 years ago to now! Sonam’s grown into a beautiful woman.
15 years…
Yup. That was a typo.
Love this sari
She looks amazing!
What a relief to see Sonam not overdoing it and looking lovely. The gold on the upper arm feels more like a cuff than the embroidery. Knowing Sonam its very possible she added it for the sake of it.
This is cultural appropriation too though, isn’t it? Unless Masaba has Tamil blood in her and speaks the language?
Come on, Bozo.
Culture is meant to shared and it brings everyone together.
With this logic, just 2 days ago kareena wore a bandhani shirt. Would that not be appropriation as well?
Please lets not be insolvent to our country’s diversity.
Our strength and love lies in the celebration of our heritage.
My question is why she chose the Tamizh alphabet?
I actually love the arm band on the blouse along with the red tassles at the end – the right amount of red on a black and white outfit!!!
